Conservation Act 1987

Concessions

17ZG: Management activities

You could also call this:

"Looking after conservation land and making decisions about how to manage it"

The Minister or Director-General has the power to manage land under this Act or other Acts listed in the Schedule 1. You need to know that this power is not limited by other parts of this Act. The Minister can make decisions about how to manage this land.

The Minister can take actions to encourage certain applications, such as inviting people to apply for a concession. The Minister can also include conditions in a concession that allow the concessionaire to help manage a conservation area. This can be done through an agreement between the Minister and the concessionaire.

The Minister has the power to make agreements with concessionaires to carry out management activities in conservation areas. This means the concessionaire can work on behalf of the Minister to manage these areas.
