26ZZC: Hearing of submissions

You could also call this:

"Having your say: speaking to someone about your submission"

When you make a submission about a discussion document, you can ask to speak to someone about it. The Director-General will make sure you have a chance to talk to a representative about your submission. You will be given a reasonable opportunity to appear before them and discuss your thoughts.

If other people or organisations are consulted about the discussion document, they can also speak to a representative of the Director-General about their submissions. The representative can hear from anyone who has been consulted, not just those who asked to speak. This way, everyone who is interested can have their say.
