Conservation Act 1987

New Zealand Conservation Authority and Conservation Boards - Conservation Boards

6U: Director-General entitled to attend meetings of Boards

You could also call this:

"The boss of conservation can go to board meetings and talk, but not vote."

The Director-General gets notice of every Conservation Board meeting. You are told that the Director-General can attend and speak at these meetings. The Director-General cannot vote on any questions at the meeting.

The Director-General must get written notice of what will be discussed at the meeting. You can see more information about this by looking at the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990. This law says what the Director-General can and cannot do at Conservation Board meetings.
