Conservation Act 1987

Sports Fish and Game Councils - New Zealand Fish and Game Council

26FC: Provisions relating to Director and fish and game rangers

You could also call this:

"Rules for the Director and fish and game rangers in New Zealand"

When you read about the Director and fish and game rangers in the Conservation Act 1987, some rules apply to them. These rules are like the ones that apply to the Director-General, but with some changes. You can find these rules in sections like 37, 40, 42, 43, 43A, 46, and 47, but you have to replace some words to make them fit.

You have to replace the Director-General with the Director, the Department with the New Zealand Fish and Game Council or a Fish and Game Council, a warranted officer with a fish and game ranger, and money from Parliament with money from the New Zealand Fish and Game Council or a Fish and Game Council.

The Director can give some of their jobs to other employees of the New Zealand Fish and Game Council or a Fish and Game Council, but they cannot give them the job of appointing fish and game rangers, which is done under section 26FA.
