26TAppointment of staff

  1. Without limiting section 26S, a Fish and Game Council may appoint a manager and other staff for the efficient and economic administration of the affairs of the Council.

  2. Every Fish and Game Council shall operate a personnel policy that complies with the principle of being a good employer by following, as closely as possible and as if it were a chief executive of a department, the provisions of sections 73 and 74 of the Public Service Act 2020.
