The National Recovery Manager is either the Director-General or their delegate. You need to know the Director-General can choose someone to do their job. They can do this to help with a national transition period. The Director-General has all the powers of the National Recovery Manager if they do not choose a delegate. If they do choose a delegate, that person has all the powers of the National Recovery Manager while the delegation is in force. The Director-General can make this choice at any time. The Director-General's choice of delegate is covered by section 22. You can also look at section 170 to see what information the National Recovery Manager can ask for.
