The Minister can declare that a state of national emergency is over. You will know a state of national emergency has ended when the Minister makes this declaration. The Minister or an authorised person can also declare that a state of local emergency is terminated. A state of local emergency can also end in other ways. If an authorised person declares a local transition period under section 145(2), the state of local emergency will end to the extent specified in accordance with section 145(6), if applicable. If the Minister declares a local transition period under section 146(2), the state of local emergency will end to the extent specified in accordance with section 146(4), if applicable. When a declaration is made under this section, it immediately ends the state of emergency. You can find more information about how a state of emergency can be terminated by looking at the declarations made by the Minister or an authorised person. The end of a state of emergency is an important event that affects everyone.
