34Attendance at Emergency Management Committee meetings by audio link or audiovisual link

  1. A representative of a member of an Emergency Management Committee (including a representative of a unitary authority that is a unitary authority Emergency Management Committee) may attend any meeting of the Committee by means of audio link or audiovisual link unless lawfully excluded.

  2. The representative may attend by means of audio link or audiovisual link despite—

  3. clauses 25A(1) and (4) and 27(5)(a) of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002; and
    1. any limitation or condition on the use of an audio link or audiovisual link, or other contrary provision, that is contained in any standing orders that apply to the meeting (including all of the standing orders that apply under section 33).
      1. A representative who attends a meeting by means of audio link or audiovisual link in accordance with this section must be counted as present for the purposes of clauses 23 and 30A of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002.
