This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Illustration for Emergency Management Bill (No 2)

You can enter into a contract on behalf of an Emergency Management Committee if you are the chairperson, deputy chairperson, or an authorised employee. You can also enter into a contract if you are an authorised Controller. This is for any purpose of the proposed Emergency Management Bill. You must report back to the Committee if you enter into a contract. You do this at the next ordinary meeting or the following one if that is not possible. This rule applies even if other laws, like the Public Bodies Contracts Act 1959, say something different. The proposed law says who can enter into contracts and what they must do. It is part of the Emergency Management Bill and may become law. You can compare this to other laws, such as the 2002 No 33 s 94, to see the changes.
