189Offence involving personation
A person commits an offence if the person by words, conduct, or demeanour intentionally personates or falsely represents themselves to be any of the following persons:
- the Director-General:
- a Controller:
- a Recovery Manager:
- a member of an Emergency Management Committee:
- a person acting under the authority of a person specified in any of paragraphs (a) to (d):
- a person authorised or employed to perform or exercise a function, duty, or power under this Act or an emergency management plan.
A person who commits an offence against subsection (1) is liable on conviction,—
- in the case of an individual, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to a fine not exceeding $50,000:
- in any other case, to a fine not exceeding $150,000.
