This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

If a big emergency happens, a special person called an authorised Recovery Manager will be in charge. They can do things like fix roads and buildings, and make sure people have food and water. They can also give people important information and advice. The Recovery Manager can look at property, animals, or other things to make sure they are safe. They can also clear roads and public places to keep people safe. You can find more information about what the Recovery Manager can do in section 170. The Recovery Manager has a lot of power to help keep people safe during an emergency. They can do things like remove dangerous structures and provide essential supplies like fuel. They can also examine things to make sure they are safe for people to use.
