This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

The proposed law says you can have a District Recovery Manager for each area that is part of a bigger Emergency Management Committee. You can appoint a chief executive as the District Recovery Manager if they are suitable. If not, the chief executive must choose someone else who is qualified. The chief executive must also choose someone to fill in for the District Recovery Manager if they are away or can't do their job. This fill-in person must be qualified to do the job. The proposed law is about how to choose these managers for areas that work together in an emergency. You can look at the 2002 No 33 s 30 to compare with the proposed law.
