The Minister can create rules for emergency management plans. You will find these rules in a document that says what the plans should look like. The Minister makes these rules to help achieve the purpose of the Emergency Management Bill. The Minister can make rules for some or all emergency management plans. You can find out more about the requirements for these plans in section 71. The rules can also help make sure the plans are consistent with the national emergency management plan. These rules are a type of law, and you can learn more about how they are published in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. The Minister can apply these rules to one or more Emergency Management Committees. The rules are made according to section 101, which explains how they are prepared.
