100Regional emergency management planning standards
The Minister may issue regional emergency management planning standards, prepared in accordance with section 101, that prescribe requirements or provide for other matters relating to any aspect of the structure, format, or content of regional emergency management plans for all or any of the following purposes:
- to assist in achieving the purpose of this Act:
- to address any matter that the Minister considers requires consistency across multiple Emergency Management Committees:
- to assist in meeting the requirements for regional emergency management plans under section 71:
- to ensure the alignment of regional emergency management plans with the national emergency management plan.
A regional emergency management planning standard may apply to the emergency management plan of 1 or more Emergency Management Committees.
A regional emergency management planning standard issued under this section is secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).
