116When state of emergency starts and expires

  1. A state of emergency—

  2. starts at the time and on the date that the state of emergency is declared; and
    1. expires at the time and on the date that is 7 days after the state of emergency starts.
      1. Nothing in this section prevents—

      2. the extension of the duration of a state of emergency under section 117; or
        1. the termination of a state of emergency under section 119.
