You are considered to have been temporarily removed from prison under section 62 of this Act when this section starts. You must follow the rules in section 64 of this Act, with some changes if needed.

232Removal under section 27 or section 28 of Penal Institutions Act 1954

  1. This section applies to any person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, was outside a prison as a consequence of his or her removal from prison under section 27 or section 28 of the Penal Institutions Act 1954.

  2. Every person to whom this section applies is, on the commencement of this section,—

  3. deemed to have been temporarily removed from prison under section 62 of this Act; and
    1. subject to the provisions of section 64 of this Act, which applies with any necessary modifications.
