19BDelegation of powers and functions of health centre managers
A health centre manager may, either generally or particularly, delegate any of the powers and functions of the health centre manager under this Act or regulations made under this Act to a person specified in subsection (2) or (3).
In the case of a health centre manager appointed to a corrections prison that is not a contract prison, the delegation may be made to a registered health professional who is an employee of the department.
In the case of a health centre manager appointed to a contract prison, the delegation may be made to a registered health professional who is an employee of the contractor (or subcontractor, within the meaning of section 199C) that manages the contract prison.
Section 13(2) and (5) to (7) applies to a delegation under this section, and any reference in those provisions to a prison manager is taken to be a reference to a health centre manager.
