92Definition of x-ray search for purposes of Public Safety (Public Protection Orders) Act 2014
For the purposes of the Public Safety (Public Protection Orders) Act 2014, an x-ray search means the search of a fully or partially clothed person using an x-ray machine or other prescribed device that is designed to identify the presence of items that are internally concealed.
For the purpose of facilitating an x-ray search under that Act, the person conducting the search may require the person being searched to—
- remove any item of clothing that needs to be removed in order to carry out the search:
- comply with any other procedure that needs to be undertaken to carry out the search.
