The Minister can approve money to help voluntary groups. You might wonder what kind of groups can get this help. The Minister can give money to groups that help people in prison or those who have been released. The Minister can also give money to groups that help people with community-based sentences. When the Minister gives money to these groups, they can add conditions on how the money is spent. The Minister must work with the Minister of Finance to approve the money, which comes from Parliament.
