201Regulations relating to good management of corrections system
Regulations made under section 200(1)(a) may include (without limitation) provisions—
- regulating the admission of prisoners to prisons and their discharge from prisons:
- regulating the visiting of prisoners including (without limitation)—
- requiring members of the public or any specified class of persons to obtain approval from the chief executive before visiting prisoners:
- providing for the restriction or prohibition of any visiting by any specified class of person or persons (for example, unaccompanied children aged under 16 years), by the chief executive or a prison manager:
- requiring members of the public or any specified class of persons to obtain approval from the chief executive before visiting prisoners:
- regulating the opening of bank accounts into which prisoners' money may be deposited, regulating the operation of those accounts (including deposits and withdrawals or other payments), and the closing of those accounts:
- ensuring the discipline of prisoners, including (without limitation) regulating the granting and loss of privileges, regulating the laying of complaints relating to offences against discipline, and prescribing the procedures for the hearing of those complaints:
- prescribing procedures to be used for the purposes of dealing with complaints:
- providing for the inspection of prisons, community work centres, probation offices, and other places where offenders are undertaking work or training.
