When you are admitted as a barrister and solicitor by the High Court, and you pay the admission fee, the Registrar adds your name to the roll. The Registrar must do this after the High Court makes the order to admit you. You can find more information about this by looking at the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 and similar laws, such as s 50 of 1982.
