You have a Standards Committee that does several things. The committee looks into complaints made under section 132. It helps resolve complaints by talking things through. Standards Committees

130Functions of Standards Committees

  1. The functions of each Standards Committee are (subject to any limitations imposed on the committee by or under this Act or the rules that govern the operation of the committee)—

  2. to inquire into and investigate complaints made under section 132:
    1. to promote, in appropriate cases, the resolution of complaints by negotiation, conciliation, or mediation:
      1. to investigate of its own motion any act, omission, allegation, practice, or other matter that appears to indicate that there may have been misconduct or unsatisfactory conduct on the part of a practitioner or any other person who belongs to any of the classes of persons described in section 121:
        1. to intervene, in the circumstances prescribed by this Act, in the affairs of practitioners or former practitioners or incorporated firms:
          1. to make final determinations in relation to complaints:
            1. to lay, and prosecute, charges before the Disciplinary Tribunal.
