You can be required to pay a subscription to the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers. The Council of the Society can decide this by resolution to fund their representative functions. The Society's constitution says how you pay the subscription. You might have to pay the subscription if you are a member of the Society. The Council can decide who has to pay and how much they have to pay. They can also decide that different members pay different amounts. The subscription is like a debt that you have to pay to the Society. You pay it in the way the Society's constitution says. The Society can recover the subscription as a debt if you do not pay it.
