196Applicants in relation to power to intervene

  1. In the case of the exercise by a Standards Committee (or by any person on its behalf or with its authority) of any of its powers under section 164, section 169, or section 170, a person may apply under section 193 for a review of the exercise of those powers if that person is—

  2. a practitioner or former practitioner who is directly affected by the exercise of the power; or
    1. a person who, or body that, is, in relation to the practitioner or former practitioner who is directly affected by the exercise of the power, a related person or entity; or
      1. an incorporated firm or former incorporated firm that is directly affected by the exercise of the power; or
        1. a banker on whom a notice under section 164(1) is served; or
          1. a person on whom a notice under section 170 is served; or
            1. the New Zealand Law Society (if the person who is directly affected by the exercise of the power is or was a lawyer or an incorporated law firm); or
              1. the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers (if the person who is directly affected by the exercise of the power is or was a conveyancing practitioner or an incorporated conveyancing firm).
