You are part of the Management Committee if you are chosen by the New Zealand Law Society or the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers. The New Zealand Law Society picks two people and the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers picks one person. You can be on the committee if Part 5 is not fully in place, but then the New Zealand Law Society picks all three people. The New Zealand Law Society must pick one of their chosen members to be the chairperson of the Management Committee. You stay on the committee as long as the society that picked you wants you to.
