The New Zealand Society of Conveyancers must have a constitution. You need to know what this constitution is about. It sets out how the Society is run. The constitution provides for a Council and its powers. It explains how you become a member and how you stop being a member. It also explains how meetings are held and how voting works. The constitution must include details about a president and vice-presidents. It must also include details about an Executive Board. You can change the constitution, but you must follow the rules. The constitution can have other rules too, as long as they do not contradict this Act or any other law. You can find more information about this in the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006. This Act has rules that the Society must follow.
