The Ministry of Justice must include some information in their annual report. You will see the amount of money they got from the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Society of Conveyancers. This money comes from levies under sections like section 217 and section 219. The report must also show the amount of money paid into a Departmental Bank Account and the amount held in the Legal Complaints Review Officer Trust Account. You will also see how much the Ministry spent on the Legal Complaints Review Officer's work, as required by the Public Service Act 2020.
