230Appointment of chairperson and deputy chairperson

  1. The chairperson of the Disciplinary Tribunal and the deputy chairperson of the Disciplinary Tribunal must each be a person who, whether or not he or she holds or has held judicial office,—

  2. is not a practitioner; but
    1. has had not less than 7 years' practice as a lawyer.
      1. The chairperson of the Disciplinary Tribunal and the deputy chairperson of the Disciplinary Tribunal are to be appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister.
