When you ask for a review under section 193, the Legal Complaints Review Officer can do some things. They can confirm, modify, or reverse a decision made by a Standards Committee. They can also use powers that the Standards Committee could have used. The Legal Complaints Review Officer's orders or powers are treated like those of a Standards Committee, as stated in section 189. This means their orders or powers have the same effects. The Officer's decisions are also subject to other rules. This section does not limit what can be done under section 209, section 210, section 212, or section 215. You should look at these sections to understand what else can be done. The rules in these sections still apply.
