Immigration Act 2009

Offences, penalties, and proceedings - Penalties

358: Penalties: education providers

You could also call this:

“Fines for education providers who break immigration rules”

If you are found guilty of breaking section 352(1)(a), you might have to pay a fine of up to $50,000. This is a serious penalty for education providers who break certain rules.

If you are found guilty of breaking section 352(1)(b), you might have to pay a fine of up to $30,000. This is also a serious penalty, but not as high as the first one.

These penalties are for education providers who don’t follow the rules set out in the Immigration Act 2009. The amount you might have to pay depends on which part of the law you break.
