Illustration for Immigration Act 2009

The chief executive has to include some information in a yearly report. You will see the number of times a special direction was made under certain sections of the law in the last financial year and the previous three years. The chief executive must also explain why any special directions were made in the financial year, as stated in sections like 50(4A), 52(4A), and 53(4A), and this report is prepared for the purposes of section 43 of the Public Finance Act 1989. This information helps you understand what is happening with special directions. The report is important because it tells you what the chief executive is doing.
