“Old rules continue under new law with minor adjustments”

When section 404 of this Act starts, any general instructions given by the chief executive under section 13BA of the old Act that are still in effect will be treated as if they were given under section 26(4) of this Act. This means that the new Act will apply to these instructions, with any changes that are needed to make them work under the new rules. These instructions will keep working as they did before, but with any small changes needed to fit with the new Act.
