Immigration Act 2009

Repeals, transitional provisions, saving provisions, and related matters - Transitional and savings provisions - Miscellaneous provisions

466: Exercise of certain powers by Police

You could also call this:

“Police can use certain immigration powers”

Even though [section 2(2)] says otherwise, a police officer can use the powers described in [sections 278] and [283 to 287] starting from the date mentioned in [section 2(4)]. When you read this law, you should think of a police officer whenever it talks about an immigration officer using these powers.
