Child Support Act 1991

Voluntary agreements - Qualifying voluntary agreements

53: Dual-purpose voluntary agreements

You could also call this:

"Child support agreements can cover multiple children or people in one document"

When people make a voluntary agreement about child support, they can put more than one agreement in the same document. This can happen when the agreement is about looking after one or more children, or when it involves different people who are part of the agreement. The document can be treated as if it has separate agreements for each person who is supposed to pay money to another person.

If the agreement includes a child who isn't covered by the Child Support Act, that child won't be considered when applying this law to the voluntary agreement.
