Child Support Act 1991

Transitional and savings provisions - Miscellaneous provisions

270: Beneficiaries to apply for child support from 16 March 1992

You could also call this:

“Extra time for people on benefits to ask for child support money”

If you receive a social security benefit, you don’t have to apply for a formula assessment of child support before 16 March 1992. This is different from what section 9 of the law says. The law gives you some extra time before you need to apply for child support.
