Payment of financial support - Payments by Commissioner

150: Time at which unexplained remittances deemed to be received

You could also call this:

“When money is received but it's unclear who it's for”

When the Commissioner gets money but doesn’t know who it’s for, they hold onto it. This money isn’t counted as received until the Commissioner knows which people the money is for. The Commissioner needs to be sure about who the money belongs to before they can use it. This rule applies to money that’s been taken from people who owe child support payments. The Commissioner has to figure out exactly how much of the money belongs to each person who owes child support before they can say they’ve officially received it.
