Child Support Act 1991

Objections

94: Determination of objection not to affect other assessments or decisions

You could also call this:

“Objecting to one decision doesn't change other decisions”

When you make an objection about a decision or assessment, the way it’s resolved only applies to that specific decision or assessment. This doesn’t stop the Commissioner from making other decisions about you or changing the assessment you objected to, as long as the changes match the resolution of your objection. It’s like if you disagree with one mark on your report card - fixing that mark doesn’t change the rest of your grades, but the teacher can still update other parts of your report as long as they don’t contradict the fixed mark.

Part 6 Objections

94Determination of objection not to affect other assessments or decisions
