Child Support Act 1991

Automatic deductions - Automatic deductions

You could also call this:

“You can't make deals to stop your child support payments”

You must understand that if you have to make regular payments because of a deduction notice, you can’t make a deal with anyone else to avoid making these payments. The Commissioner is the only one who can change this rule. Any agreement you make with someone else to not pay will not be valid. This rule is there to make sure that the required payments are made as instructed.
