Child Support Act 1991

General provisions - Miscellaneous provisions

222: Proceedings not affected by vacancy or change in office of Commissioner

You could also call this:

“Legal actions continue even if the Commissioner changes”

If someone starts a legal action, prosecution, or other official process related to this Act, it won’t be stopped or considered invalid just because there’s a new Commissioner. Even if the person in charge of the Commissioner’s office changes, the legal action will continue as normal. It’s like the Commissioner’s role is always the same, no matter who is doing the job. This helps make sure that important legal matters don’t get interrupted when there’s a change in who’s running things.
