210Penalties for offences

Every person who commits an offence against section 172 shall,—
- on the first occasion on which the person is convicted of any such offence or more than 1 such offence, be liable, in respect of that offence or, as the case may be, each of those offences, to a fine not exceeding $15,000:
- on every occasion, other than the occasion referred to in paragraph (a), on which the person is convicted of any such offence or more than 1 such offence, be liable, in respect of that offence or, as the case may be, each of those offences, to a fine not exceeding $25,000.
Every person who commits an offence against section 208 (other than against section 208(j)) shall,—
- on the first occasion on which the person is convicted of any such offence or more than 1 such offence, be liable, in respect of that offence or, as the case may be, each of those offences, to a fine not exceeding $2,000:
- on the second occasion on which the person is convicted of any such offence or more than 1 such offence, be liable, in respect of that offence or, as the case may be, each of those offences, to a fine not exceeding $4,000:
- on every occasion, other than the occasions referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b), on which the person is convicted of any such offence or more than 1 such offence, be liable, in respect of that offence or, as the case may be, each of those offences, to a fine not exceeding $6,000.
Every person who commits an offence against section 208(j) shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding the maximum fine applicable to the offence committed by the person aided, abetted, incited, or conspired with.
