20Board may authorise person to carry out or supervise gasfitting

  1. The Board may authorise a person to do any or all of the matters set out in subsection (2) if the Board is satisfied that the person (whether by examination or otherwise) is—

  2. competent to install and maintain particular fittings or gas appliances, or fittings or gas appliances of a particular kind; or
    1. competent to supervise persons doing particular gasfitting, to test and certify particular work, and to connect the work to a supply of gas, in accordance with section 21.

      1. For the purposes of subsection (1), the matters are—

      2. to install and maintain any fittings or gas appliances to which subsection (1)(a) applies or to have that work done by some other person acting under the person’s supervision:
        1. to carry out any other gasfitting for the purposes of subsection (1)(a) or to have that work done by some other person acting under the person’s supervision:
          1. to supervise, test and certify, and connect particular work, in accordance with section 21.

            1. The Board may place time limits on the authorisation, impose any other reasonable conditions on the authorisation, and revoke the authorisation if those conditions are not complied with.
