You can get in trouble if you make false declarations or representations to get registered, licensed, or certified under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006. 121False declarations and representations

  1. Every person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 who, for the purpose of obtaining any registration, licence, renewal of a licence, or certificate under this Act, either on the person’s own behalf or on behalf of any other person,—

  2. either orally or in writing, makes any declaration or representation that, to the person’s knowledge, is false or misleading in any material particular; or
    1. provides to the Registrar, the Board, or the Electrical Workers Registration Board, any document knowing that the document—
      1. contains any declaration or representation that is false or misleading in any material particular; or
        1. is not genuine; or
        2. makes use of any document knowing that the document—
          1. contains any declaration or representation that is false or misleading in any material particular; or
            1. is not genuine.
