You could also call this:

"The Board can temporarily stop you from working as a plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer to keep the public safe."

Illustration for Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006

The Board can make an order to stop you from working as a plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer for a little while. This can happen before or after you get a notice about a problem under section 101. The Board does this to keep the public safe. The order can suspend your licence or stop you from doing certain work. You are not allowed to do work that you would normally be allowed to do with a licence. The Board makes this order if it thinks it is necessary. The order stays in place until the investigator decides not to look into the complaint or the Board decides not to use its disciplinary powers under section 106. It also stays in place until the Board takes action under section 106. The Board can make this order because it wants to or because the investigator recommends it. The Board does not have to tell you that it is going to make this order. This is different from what is said in section 112. The Board can make this decision without giving you notice.
