Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006

Registration and licensing of plumbers, gasfitters, and drainlayers - Plumber, gasfitter, and drainlayer registration and licensing - How to become registered

40: Board to consider application

You could also call this:

"The Board looks at your application to become a registered plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer."

When you apply to become registered, the Board must think about your application as soon as they can. The Board has to consider some things when they think about your application. They must be fair and tell you if there is a problem with your application. The Board must also give you a chance to say something about the problem. If you had your registration cancelled before, the Board will think about why it was cancelled. They will follow the rules of natural justice, which means being fair and listening to both sides. You will get notice if there is something that might stop your application from being approved. You can then make submissions to the Board about the matter, which means you can give them your thoughts and opinions.
