You need a warrant to act under section 93(1)(a) of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006. The Registrar gives you a written warrant of authority that says what powers you have. It also has your full name and a reference to the provision. If you do not have a warrant, you must not say you do. You can get in trouble if you do not follow this rule or if you pretend to be someone who has a warrant. You can be fined up to $10,000 if you break these rules or pretend to be someone you are not.
