The register helps you find out if a person is registered to do sanitary plumbing, gasfitting, or drainlaying work. You can use the register to choose a suitable person to do this work and to contact them. The register also shows if a person has been disciplined under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006 in the last three years. The register helps you find out about a person's history of registration or licensing. This includes if they have been registered or held a licence before, and what happened with their registration or licence. The register is also used by the Board and the Registrar to do their jobs. The information on the register is available to you, but there are some limits. This section is subject to section 83, which means the Registrar can restrict access to certain information in certain circumstances.
