You are a registered person or have a provisional licence to do sanitary plumbing or drainlaying. You must give the owner of the house a record of the work you did after you finish. The record must be in a certain form and say what work you did. You have to give this record to the owner when you finish the work. This record does not make you liable for anything that might go wrong. It also does not make you responsible for anything that you would not already be responsible for. The rules about this record of work were updated by the Building and Construction (Small Stand-alone Dwellings) Amendment Act 2025. You need to follow these rules when you do sanitary plumbing or drainlaying work. This helps keep track of the work that is done.
