You can get an employer licence for gasfitting if you apply and pay a fee. You must show the Board you have a system that meets the rules and regulations. This system must ensure your employees are competent and get the supervision and training they need. You must also make sure your employees' work is safe and competent, and follows the Gas Act 1992 and its regulations. An approved person can certify your system, and you will get a certificate. This certification can end if it is revoked or its term ends. The Board can stop you from getting a licence if you have done something wrong. The Board can also add conditions to your licence, like what types of gasfitting you can do. An approved person is someone chosen by the regulations to check your system.
