3Purposes of this Act

  2. to protect the health and safety of members of the public by ensuring the competency of persons engaged in the provision of sanitary plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying services; and
    1. to regulate persons who carry out sanitary plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying; and
      1. to appoint and regulate certification authorities.
