Biosecurity Act 1993

Importation of risk goods - Clearance of risk goods

29: Restricted organisms to be contained

You could also call this:

"Keep restricted organisms safe and contained in special areas"

If you have a restricted organism in a special area, you must keep it there. You can only move it to another special area if an inspector says you can. The inspector can also let you export the organism from New Zealand.

An inspector can give you permission to move a restricted organism, but they can also add conditions to this permission. This means you must follow the rules they set when moving the organism. You must do what the inspector says to keep everyone safe.
