Biosecurity Act 1993

Pest management - National pest management plans

66: Making of plan

You could also call this:

"Creating a biosecurity plan with the Minister's approval"

If the Minister is happy with the things in section 65, they can suggest to the Governor-General that a plan be made. The Minister does this by asking for an Order in Council to be made. This order is a type of secondary legislation.

You can find out more about what secondary legislation is and how it is published in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. The Minister follows the rules to make the plan. They make sure everything is done correctly.
